SLICES-Session @ Berlin 6G Conference 2025
SLICES-DE hosted a session at the German flagship conference on 6G Research.
Our session titled “Large Scale Experimentation Facilities” took place on July 2, 2025 from 14:00 to 15:30 in Room A 08.

The session introduced a program focused on lab-scale facilities, testbeds, and research infrastructures. After a brief introduction [slides] by Georg Carle, several speakers presented:
- Marie-José Montpetit the designated CEO of SLICES-RI gave the keynote on her vision of a European lab-scale research infrastructure. [slides]
- Tobias Hossfeld (University of Würzburg) discussed measuring sustainability and managing research data. [slides]
- Sebastian Gallenmüller (Technical University of Munich) addressed reproducibility, artifact evaluation, and how infrastructures, such as SLICES, help promote and accelerate artifact evaluation. [slides]
- Ivan Seskar (Rutgers University) provided his perspective on US-based testbeds, highlighting large-scale efforts. [slides]
- Serge Fdida (Sorbonne University) & Georg Carle (Technical University of Munich) presented insights from a Dagstuhl seminar on key considerations for building and supporting research infrastructures. [slides 1] [slides 2]
All presenters then participated in a panel discussion and Q&A.
