SLICES-DE @ Pitchtalks with MDSI and relAI at SAP Labs Munich
On January 20, 2026, Sebastian Gallenmüller represented SLICES-DE at the Pitchtalks with MDSI and relAI event held at SAP Labs Munich. The event brought together doctoral researchers, academic experts, and industry representatives to exchange ideas at the intersection of research and innovation.
Organized by the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) in collaboration with the Konrad Zuse School of Excellence in Reliable Artificial Intelligence (relAI), the forum provided a platform for selected presentations addressing current research topics and infrastructures. In his talk, Sebastian Gallenmüller introduced SLICES-DE and outlined its role as a digital research infrastructure for computing and communication technologies.
The presentation emphasized how SLICES-DE supports reproducible, scalable, and collaborative experimentation, enabling researchers from academia and industry to conduct advanced experimental research in information and communication technologies (ICT). Particular attention was given to the value of shared infrastructures in fostering innovation and ensuring sustainable research practices.
The Pitchtalks format encourages dialogue, networking, and knowledge exchange among early-career researchers and established experts from TUM, relAI, and SAP. The presentation of SLICES-DE highlighted the strategic importance of research infrastructures in strengthening Europe’s digital and scientific ecosystem.
SLICES-DE welcomes the opportunity to engage with the broader research community and looks forward to continued collaboration and future contributions to cutting-edge ICT research.
